About a year and a half ago my 2006 did the TBC Fault several times in one day and has never done it since. No thrown codes showed up. I said 2002, i meant 2007 but this ...1 - 7 of 7 Posts. drewactual · #2 · Jun 14, 2013. those brake modules can wreak havoc.. basically, the computer protects itself by shutting off or limiting functions, which affect other things far reaching from a brake controller.. i'd be willing to bet once you swap it your issues disappear.. but, get it diagnosed professionally, first.Apparentely there is a sensor in the master brake cylinder that sends a signal to the brake controller, the sensor is probably faulty. The sensor cannot be replaced separately. A complete master cylinder must be replaced.
